The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has issued a notice to
Amitabh Bachchan for not declaring dutiable goods on return from a London trip in May 2007.
The actor bought goods worth 44,306.81 pounds (approximately Rs 36 lakh) from London's famous store Harrods. He had sought a VAT return at Heathrow of 6398 pounds on the goods.
Bachchan, after disembarking in Mumbai on May 24, showed the value of dutiable goods as nil.
