Jet airways passengers faced inconvenience as the jet airways cancelled 130 flights scheduled for the day after its pilots went on mass casual leave to protest the sacking of their two colleagues.
The pilots decided to go on mass casual leave as the airline had sacked two of its seniormost pilots Captain Sam Thomas and Captain Balaraman last month after trade union body, National Aviators Guild was formed by them.
Jet Airways said that they decided to cancel 130 flights of our total 345 flights in the day in view of pilots going on mass casual leave.
In response to this so called strike of Jet Airways, chief Naresh Goel have threatened to close the Jet Airways. He said he would not tolerate indiscipline.
Goel said that he wouldn't tolerate indiscipline by his company men. He said that he wouldn't put up with the fact that people of his company forget the mantra of safety and service towards people.
Though Goel denied any short of differences with the pilots, he clarified that indiscipline won't be tolerated.
Jet has shown door to five pilots who went on leave joining the protest against the suspension of the pilots.
