It was a trip to the local Bhelwallah that got Saif Ali Khan in trouble.
Even though Kareena Kapoor says that Saif Ali Khan ate something that didn't suit him, it was mom Sharmila Tagore who revealed the reason behind the star's sudden hospitalisation.
"He is all right. He got a stomach infection due to something he ate that didn't suit him," Kareena said.
But Saif's mom Sharmila Tagore was more forthright about the exact cause of his sickness.
"He ate bhelpuri and that caused the problem. He is in some discomfort. Otherwise he is okay," Sharmila said.
Saif was back in hospital for the third time in less than three years. Though this turned out to be a case of food poisoning, Saif's earlier hospital trips got all his fans scared.
The first time it happened in Kuala Lumpur in March 2006 when Saif had to undergo an emergency appendectomy. The second and far more serious health scare occurred in February 2007 when Saif was rushed to hospital for a suspected heart attack.
All was well after that, with Saif leading a healthy and balanced professional and personal life.
Saif's hospitalisation has affected his vacation plans. He and Kareena were supposed to leave for their week-long holiday to the Alps. At the moment it stands postponed.
