As elections are at final stage in Maharashtra, Bihar court had planned to restrict moves of Raj, as Maharashtra Navnirman chief Raj Thackeray get Warrant from Bihar court.
Bihar court issued an arrest warrant against Raj Thackeray for making "hate speeches" against Biharis and asked the Mumbai police commissioner to produce him before it on November 2.
Sahab Kaushar, first class judicial magistrate, Muzaffarpur, took exception to non-compliance of the order of the court by Thackeray to represent his side on previous dates.
Kaushar ordered issue of arrest warrant against the MNS chief with a directive to the Mumbai police commissioner to arrest and produce Thackeray before him.
Earlier, a senior advocate, Sudhir Ojha, had filed a complaint in February 2008 under Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), before the then Chief Judicial Magistrate J K Sinha, seeking legal action against Thackeray.
In his petition, Ojha alleged that Thackeray had made uncharitable, insulting and hate speeches against the people of Bihar on January 31, 2008.
