Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani is building a home worth $2 billion (Rs. 800 crore), which will be the world's most expensive home so far. It will be a 27-storey residence, spreading over 400,000 square feet of interior space. Height of the building will be 550 ft. It is located in Mumbai, India's commercial capital.
According to Forbes magazine, the skyscraper would be completed by January 2009. The new home will have a gym, health club, swimming pool, restaurant and a theatre. Around 600 people will be deployed for the management of the house. There will be fool-proof security in and around the house.
It could be recalled that Mukesh Ambani was ranked as the fifth richest person in the world with a net worth of $43 billion by the Forbes magazine recently. He was in news when he gifted a luxury Jet (worth Rs 2.4 billion) to his wife on her 44th birthday in 2007.
