Katie Holmes spent $100,000 for their daughter Suri's birthday bash, which was attended by just 24 of their closest friends and family at their home in Hollywood Hills.
House was filled with more than $17,000 worth of fresh flowers. A source close the family says that the theme for the party was butterflies, which Suri is obsessed with.
"Suri adores butterflies. It was immediate family and their closest friends only. There were no celebrities invited to the daytime bash."
The guest for the daytime event included Cruise's parents, his ex-wife Nicole Kidman and their kids.
Speaking of the cake, a party guest said, "All of the cakes were Italian-wedding flavoured, but specifically made without the usual rum. Obviously, they wanted them non-alcoholic since Suri is only two."
Cruise spent almost $5,000 on cakes and $230 on cupcakes.
Later that night, the insider reveals that the couple invited their A-list guests including David and Victoria Beckham, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Longoria Parker and Jim Carrey.
"The catering bill for the two parties cost Cruise more than $45,000," said the source.
"It was a great party," said one of those who attended. "Suri was in a really great mood and loved having all the balloons around."
