Japanese firm Daiichi Sankyo buys Indian Pharma heavyweight Ranbaxy Laboratories
Daiichi Sankyo has bought control of India’s No. 1 pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy Laboratories in a friendly takeover that could be worth as much as $4.6 billion. I was just amazed when I read in the latest Forbes magazine about this. The world's elite billionaire club (Top 10) has 4 Indians in the list - Lakshmi Mittal ($45 bn), Mukesh Ambani ($43 bn), Anil Ambani ($42 bn) and K P Singh ($30 bn).
