Many new and existing members make a fundamental mistake thinking that as soon as you have your profile on MetroJoint, new visitors will be rolling in. This simply is not true. Your profile on MetroJoint (http://metrojoint.com/mypage.php?userid=xxxx) is no different from a new store or office in the real world, only that it resides in a cyberspace. Without an effective marketing and promotional effort to reach out to the new cyberspace visitors, no one will know that you or your profile/business exists!

MetroJoint provides you five basic summaries as a member of the social network, these are:

And we provide you both internal and external ways to promote each of these sections in real time. Follow the following methods to promote your profile, your photo album, blog, video or your Joint and watch visitors flowing in!

Social Network Sites
Promote your content using other social networks. This is one of the best ways to let everybody know about your summaries. If you have a personal profile on any social network such as Myspace, Facebook, Orkut, Friendster, or Hi5, simply add your profile URL/address ( http://yourname.metrojoint.com OR (http://metrojoint.com/mypage.php?userid=xxxx) You can view this by clicking on your 'Settings' tab which can be found on the top-right corner of this page if you're already logged in.). You can also promote your Blog, Joint, Photo Album or Video this way. Simply copy-paste the URL/address of your section page you want to promote and you're done. Visitors to your profile are likely to click on that link to see your personal webpage. This way your summaries will get viewed more and you will reach to a larger audience.
Social Bookmarking Sites
Promote your content by submitting it to social bookmarking destinations like del.icio.us, Reddit, Furl, Google Bookmarks, Yahoo Bookmarks, and others. We have done most of the work for you by adding links to some of these destinations directly from each of your summaries ('Share This' is the bookmarking tool which you can find in almost all pages which can be bookmarked/favorited), be it your MyPage (your profile), your blog (or other member blogs as well), Joint, Photo Album or Videos. The more links you submit to these sites, the chances are higher that your links will be clicked on, your summaries will be viewed, and you will reach to a larger audience.
Yahoo! Answers
If you have a Yahoo! account you can go to Yahoo! Answers and check to see if any of your summaries (mainly your Blog or a Joint Forum Post or Reply) can answer someone's question. This is a great opportunity to create a link back to your summary and generate exposure for yourself. If another one of our summaries offers a better answer, you should feel free to link back to it and help out your fellow MetroJoint member.
